Planning for Sustainability: Leaving a Legacy:
This teleconference focused on the Legacy Wheel tool located on the Center's Web site. Sue Vargo (National Center staff) presented an overview of the various sections of the Legacy Wheel, and how it can be used for planning sustainability strategies, sustaining coalitions, and seeking new funding sources. Vince Sprouls from the department of Health and Human services discussed the best ways to research federal grant opportunities via grants.gov.

Communicating for Sustainability:
Diane Barry (National Center staff) gave a presentation and led an interactive discussion on communicating effectively with stakeholders, potential funders, and the community. The focus wasl on thinking strategically about target audiences, key messages, and how best to disseminate these messages. Finding and Developing Foundation Funding
This two part teleconference consisted of an overview of the resources provided by the Foundation Center (http://fdncenter.org), led by Foundation Center staff and a presentation of strategies for researching and communicating effectively with foundations, presented by Renée Wilson-Simmons (National Center staff). Each grantee was provided with a tailored list of foundations in their state/region.

Hillary Johnson, (a director of Community Wealth Ventures, Inc) focused on various ways that grantees can look toward social enterprise to develop revenue and sustain programs.
